China issuing 10-year Business and Tourist Visas to U.S. Citizens

As a result of recent agreements between the U.S. and China at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, China has begun issuing multiple-entry visas, valid for 10 years to U.S. citizens traveling to China for business or tourism purposes.  Additionally, China has begun issuing student permits to U.S. citizen students valid for 5 years (or the length of their qualifying Chinese educational program).
